Learn to Row

Discover the joy of rowing with ANA Rowing Club’s learn-to-row program, where our experienced coaches have taught hundreds of people of all ages to master this fun sport on some of Western Australia’s finest waterways.

Experience the perfect balance of friendly community and competitive excellence at Rowing Australia’s “Rowing Club of the Year 2022” with personalised instruction designed to help you progress from beginner to confident rower.

We have two courses:

General Course:

5-week Learn to row course suitable for complete beginners and those that have not rowed for many years.

Ages 12 to 102 are welcome but you must be able to swim 50m while wearing rowing gear.

Sessions run consecutive Sundays at 8:30 am, each lasting around 1.5 hours and limited to 10 participants per course. Occasionally, Saturday courses may be offered.

Includes enjoy complimentary follow-up sessions post-course to explore club membership.

Junior Learn to Row:

4-day intensive Learn to Row course suitable those of high school age who want to learn to row.

Sessions run consecutive days, each lasting around 1.5 hours and limited to 10 participants per course.

Ages 12 to 17 are welcome but you must be able to swim 50m while wearing rowing gear.
