Our Sunday Learn to Row course is designed to teach complete beginners the skills of boat handling and correct rowing technique.
The 5-week course starts in crews boats, progressing to single sculls. The course comprises of five 1.5 hour lessons on Sundays at 8:30 am. Participants must be 12 years or over, be capable of swimming at least 100 metres and physically strong enough to handle rowing equipment.
The cost of the course is $100, payable before the first lesson. Two additional rowing sessions following the course are offered free of charge to help you decide if you would like to join the club.
All normal Sunday 2023 Learn To Row courses are now FULL. We are finalising dates for 2024, with the first course proposed to start mid-January 2024. If you wish to register for a 2024 course, email learntorow@anarowinglub.org.au to make an inquiry.
Juniors’ Learn to Row Course
During the September 2023 school holidays, ANA is offering a Juniors’ Learn to Row Course for juniors aged 12 to 18. The course will take place over four days in the first week of school holidays, starting on Tuesday 26 September to Friday 29 September 2023, from 8:00am to 9:30am each day.
The cost is $100 per person, payable before the first lesson. Places are limited.
