Rowfit Indoor Rowing is a self-paced, low impact, indoor rowing program for the community.
We have partnered with Rowing WA and the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport to deliver land based, rowing courses, of six weeks’ duration, aimed at promoting inclusivity and accessibility for targeted low-participation groups.
Program Details
The program is designed for people with no rowing experience as well as those returning to the sport. You can learn the basics of rowing, build fitness and meet new people – all in a friendly, supportive environment. No prior experience is required. It’s about trying something new and having fun while developing new skills.
Indoor rowing is great for core strength, efficient for fat burning and easy to learn. It is a low impact activity that avoids damage to joints. On the course, you will learn how to set up the rowing machine appropriately for yourself and learn correct rowing machine technique so you can get the most out of your time on the rowing machine. The training plan is self-paced and gradually increases in intensity and duration, in response to your fitness level.
Each course run for six weeks with two, one-hour sessions per week. All you need to bring is a water bottle and towel and wear comfortable active wear.
