Learn to Row at ANA

Our Learn to Row courses are designed to teach complete beginners the skills of boat handling and correct rowing technique.

We have two different avenues available:

  1. Sunday Learn to Row Courses start in crews boats, progressing to single sculls.  The course comprises of four 1.5 hour lessons on Sundays at 9:00 am. Participants must be 12 years or over, be capable of swimming at least 100 metres and physically strong enough to handle rowing equipment.
    The cost of the course is $100, including a $50 deposit to secure your place. The balance is payable at or before the first lesson.
    Additional rowing sessions following the course are offered free of charge to help you decide if you would like to join the club.

  2. Weekday Adult Learn to Row (WALTR) Course runs on weekday mornings from 9:30 - 11am and is a more comprehensive course to teach you to row in single sculls. Click here for details.
