ANA Centenary 1920 - 2020
In 1920 a group of rowers from different clubs became disgruntled with "imported" rowers, that is from Britain and Europe, coming in and taking all the places in the top crews. These rowers formed a new club which was affiliated with the Australian Natives Association (ANA) Aquatic Club.
To celebrate our centenary ANA Rowing Club is planning a series of events to reconnect with past members. Monthly decade by decade reunions will be held at the clubrooms as and when COVID-19 restrictions allow! A grand social row and breakfast and formal dinner will follow.
Keep watching this site for details and spread the word to former members you are in contact with.
Our third Centenary Breakfast will be held on Saturday October 3rd from 9:00 to 10:30am.
The Centenary Dinner will be held on Sunday November 22nd at the Swan River Hotel in Ascot.
The first breakfast was held on Sunday August 9th. There is a photo gallery here.
We have created a Facebook page to promote these events, publish photos and invite anyone with stories or memorabilia to share them with us - https://www.facebook.com/anacentenary/
