	Pontoon etiquette At Champion Lake the lefthand pontoons are for unloading of boats and righthand pontoons are for loading of boats. Oars should be taken to the pontoon BEFORE the boat. A member of the crew should be nominated as the crew leader, the cox, if you have one, and generally the stroke in coxless boats. THEY ARE THE ONLY VOICE. Picture below the illustration shows the technique. It's new to many so please ask if there is any doubt. For all racers _ when you see crews coming in or you are free to help go to the pontoon to assist crews in by holding the boat as the crew disembarks.
